I am a podcast nerd!
I've been listening to podcasts since their inception. I feel that podcasts open us up to new thoughts, ideas, & ways to enhance our lives. I started a local interview podcast seven years ago and since then, I've started a comedian interview podcast as well as two business related podcasts.

I've made a lot of mistakes along the way and learned from them. I got better at all of the things that make a podcast an enriching exercise for the host and the listeners​.
​
Over the years, I've helped many friends an colleagues start their podcasts from the ground up.
I've been told many times that I should start a business helping new podcast hosts & producers get their show stated the right way.

Well, I'm finally doing it! I want to help you start your podcast the right way and avoid all the mistakes I made. I can also help current podcast hosts with a show analysis & guidance to make your podcast the best it can be!

My first podcast was called Michiana People. I lived in Northern Indiana at the time and because our area was so close to Michigan, we called it Michiana. Michiana People came out of my desire to connect with people in the area who had a story to tell. I talked to everyone from dog groomers to politicians to musicians. I had a great time hosting and producing Michiana People and learned a lot about podcasting along the way. Now, I learned a lot by making a lot of mistakes. The audio quality and my interviewing skills needed a lot of work and got better as the show went on. I was able to achieve my mission of getting compelling stories from some great people in the area. My career over the last 20 years has been in IT (Information Technology). My first business related podcast was MapleTronic's Tech Talk. For this podcast, I wrote up a business plan and mission statement then presented it to the CEO. It was accepted and away we went! The idea was to present new trends in technology & cybersecurity to businesses in a fashion that could be understood by people who were not versed in all the IT lingo. Along with that, we encouraged everyone on our team to listen so they would know about our initiatives and how we were approaching potential and current clients with them.
I'm proud of what we accomplished during the run of the podcast. We achieved sales to current clients and brought on new clients as a direct result of Tech Talk. I learned a non-salesy podcast that passed on important information for the businesses in our area helped us to achieve a trusted advisor role in our community. In January of 2020, I launched Behind the Bits Podcast. I am a part-time standup comedian and the goal of Behind the Bits was to reach other comedians and comedy nerds with the behind the scenes info of what it takes to succeed in standup comedy. Behind the Bits is a remote interview podcast that I also stream live to various social media platforms.
I'm most proud of what I've achieved with Behind the Bits. In 2020, Behind the Bits won the Discover Podcas award for best interview style podcast.
In 2021, Behind the Bits was featured as one of the top Comedy podcasts at Podcast Movement by Spreaker who was my podcast host at the time.
In February of 2022, I was featured in Podcast Magazine for Behind the Bits.

In 2022, I helped to start a podcast for my current company, IT Voice. This is another business related podcast that is published bi-monthly. We have a large offering of services including business phones, IT managed services, & internet services. Our podcast, Technology Simplified is new but has already introduced new ideas to current clients and has served as a training tool for our current employees.
